Consultations Update for Covid-19

As a health service, it is important that Kalinda Wellbeing Centre continues to operate as long as possible and hopefully without too much disruption.  In order to do this, we all need to work together to ensure that we are not contributing to the spread of the virus.

Important information for our clients:

Your therapist will not present to the KWC clinic if they are feeling unwell. We are all taking steps towards social distancing to reduce the likelihood that we will pick up or spread the virus.

We will be taking additional measures in regard to hygiene and cleanliness around the clinic.  We have removed the cloth hand towel in the bathroom and routinely wipe and sanitize equipment including the tyro machine and door handles.

Please do not attend your appointments if you are feeling unwell, or anyone in your household is unwell.  Cancellation fees will be waived for the next couple of weeks (but please try and give us as much notice as possible, as there are still other people waiting for appointments).

Please only bring the necessary people to the practice (try to leave anyone who is not required for the appointment at home).

Please do not arrive early for your appointments, as we want to reduce the time spent sitting in the waiting room with others.

Think about going for a walk during your child’s appointment, instead of sitting in the waiting room, particularly if the room is busy and if you have additional family members with you.

Please practice good hygiene with lots of handwashing and drinking water.

Consultation Options:

NDIS participants are able to have telephone or skype appointments in place of face to face appointments.

Medicare participants. There have been some additional Medicare items made available for people who are unable to attend appointments to have these appointments over the phone.  Please let us know if you are wanting to take advantage of these appointments.  Kalinda Wellbeing Centre is a private psychology clinic.  Please refer to the Fees and Rebates section of the webpage.

If you are considering a telephone/skype session, please consider if this is an appropriate medium for your child.  Some children may find it difficult to engage in sessions of this medium.

Please refer to the Risk Assessment if you have concerns about attending KWC, or call our friendly receptionists who can organise a phone consultation.
