Victor Kwee Leong Quek is a registered psychologist with 10 years of experience working with youth, adults, and older adults. He has worked overseas in a community mental health setting, in which he worked with adults with a broad range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and personality disorders.
Victor later worked in a public hospital with clients with acquired brain injury, trauma, anxiety, depression, pain, grief and loss issues, behavioural management and group therapy for patients with post medical adjustment issues.
After relocating to Australia, Victor worked in the community mental health setting and subsequently in the alcohol and other drugs (AOD) setting, where he worked with clients with addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, family violence issues, pain, acquired brain injury, grief and loss and personality disorders.
In his work with clients, Victor uses a person-centered approach and works collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals. He utilises different evidence-based treatment including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR).
In his free time, Victor enjoys listening to music and reading. He also enjoys hunting for good food with his wife and three children.
